Blessed Virgin Mary and the Infant Jesus

This experience happened last 1989 when I was still a member of the Integrated National Police (INP) assigned at Camp Alagar, Cagayan de Oro City, Philippines.

In those times I was really addicted to gambling (cockfighting) and almost all my earnings were wasted and seldom I gave my salary to my wife. I have been saddled with debts just to continue my vice in the hope that I can hit big and my financial woes will be over.

One evening when I went to sleep (as usual I did not pray) I encountered a dream in the wee hours. It was so clear and vivid that a demon in the form of a hairy black hand with long fingernails appeared and offered me a power. The hand said once I handshake him, I will have the power I need and as if I was hypnotized, without a second thought I was about to shake the devil's hand.

It was at this time that I saw in my dream a white hand who parried my hand from handshaking with the devil. At that very point, I woke up and the very first thing that caught my eyes was was the picture of the Blessed Virgin Mary with Infant Jesus that was posted on the wall of the barracks.

Worst is, because I was sleeping on a double bed occupying the upper portion, my head was hanging down to the point of just one slight movement I would have fallen down to the floor head first. I did not share this dream because I thought my dream was just by chance.

But the way I interpret it, if the Blessed Virgin Mary did not intervene, I would have drop to the concrete floor head first. I would have suffered injuries or might have been used by the devil in his evil deeds.
