Family Healing

Hi,
my name is Megan Mary DePerro. I have a prayer request. I am kindly asking for prayer requests. Almost a year ago I found my biological mother. I searched for 13 years, although I wanted to find her since I was 4 and learned I am adopted. Adoptees deal with a lot of issues such as not having biological medical information, not knowing our heritage, not knowing who we look like, being cut off from our biological/natural families (mother, uncles, aunts, cousins, brothers, sisters, etc), very high rates of depression and anxiety, not having our original birth certificates, and many more problems. The response I got has been very painful. My biological mother wishes I didn't exist to anyone in her life. She has asked everyone to ignore me including those who knew about me years before I ever returned. This is heartbreaking. Catholic nuns from Buffalo and Rochester have been praying for me and for my biological mother for a long time now. These nuns have told me how I am being treated is unacceptable and we all pray for my biological mother to have a change of heart and accept me back into the family. Society has a lot of changes it needs to go through in treating adoptees with equality and remembering that we too have feelings. They are my family and I want to get to know them, including my biological mother. I am ready and able to forgive and forget how I am being treated now if they are kind and do what is Christ like and communicate with me. As the nuns have vouched I am a very kind and altruistic person. Please pray that my biological family and I can soon reunite and that everyone in this situation heals from the pain caused by adoption when family members are separated.
