Free My Son from His Addiction and Lead Him Back to Christ

Thank you brothers and sisters for your compassion by praying for others.

Could you add my son, Andrew to your prayers? He is 20 years old. He has struggled with depression and low self esteem for many years. I tried since he was very young to get help from doctors, to no avail. He made it through school, was good at sports, but had trouble with schoolwork. I had him tested, but his IQ was normal.

He was raised without a father, which I think added to his problems. His father left when Andrew was only 1 year old. He started a new life in another state and never really developed a relationship with Andrew.

I tried my best as a mom. I also have a 23 year old daughter. But Andrew started following a rough crowd in his teen years. Last year his best friend committed suicide. Since then, Andrew has immersed himself in a life of drugs.

I pray daily for him and go to Mass several times a week. Perhaps if I had your prayers too, God will show us an answer?

Andrew has come home and told me he would like to get clean and sober. He has been sleeping for a few days. He has agreed to see a counselor next week. It sounds hopeful! But we have been on this merry-go-round many times this year. I just pray that somehow God will reach him and help lift him up before it is too late.
