From One Mother to Another

Mary, I pray and plead with You to help me be able financially to be able to stay home and take care of my son who requires 24/7 care until his health improves or is stabilized. I have worked all my life with the exception of 6 weeks post-partum, however my son needs me now. His condition, "Status Epilepticus", is not normal epilepsy; His seizures, he has been through 4 now, come on without knowledge, and continue until taken to the hospital and put into a medically induced coma and placed on a ventilator. As a mother and RN, his Neurologist has written an order for my son to have Oxygen, suction, and rectal injections of valium gel even before the ambulance gets here. My son turns very blue 30 seconds into the episode but his saliva production increases tremendously and is tenacious. On his first two episodes of status, I truly believed my son would die in my arms before the ambulance could get here. His first episode lasted over 90 minutes before being placed in coma and breathing machine; the second one was well over 3 hrs again until being placed in a coma and put on a ventilator. He spends anywhere from 3-6 days in hospital recovering. We have tried two different medications and still last Friday he had another one. Please, I need a financial miracle to be able to care for him until he is stabilized and maintain a roof over our heads. My faith in prayer and gratitude for prayers answered s what keeps us grounded and keeps us growing in the likeness of Christ.
