She Told Me to Pray

When I was a boy approximately 13 years old I had a Dream.

In my dream a lady, who looked exactly like the picture of the Blessed Virgin Mary, told me to pray. I do not remember anything before her telling me to pray and as I awoke I was finishing my Prayer and was talking outloud and making the sign of the cross.

I saw my hand touch my forehead in the name of the Father and of the Son and the Holy Spirit. Then I just thought about what just happened. My brother, who slept on the bottom bunk, said "who are you talking to? What did you say?"

I said nothing but was remembering a lady who told me to pray. I did not know then how to say the Rosary nor do I remember her telling me a specific prayer to say. It seems as though she told me to Pray to her.

I think she said If you are scared or maybe it was when you are scared or need my help pray to me. I am pretty sure I said a prayer and I am certain I was doing the sign of the cross as I awoke. I'm not sure if my own voice or my brother kicking the bottom of my top bunk woke me up.

I am puzzled as to whether I imagined this or really had the dream. It seemed very real and I felt like it was special. Any thoughts?
